Rev’d Lynda Sebbage
Interim Priest in Charge

Lynda was appointed early April 2020 and is half time, interim priest in charge for the benefice. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, Lynda will still be based in Sudbury where she currently lives but is available by phone or email. It is hoped that Lynda will be able to move to Barrow in due course and undertake a range of ministerial duties. Before taking up her position in the Barrow benefice, Lynda was Assistant Curate in the Stour Valley benefice that comprises Cavendish, Clare, Stoke by Clare, Hundon, Wixoe and Poslingford. She is also Honorary Chaplain to a naval historical society – The 1805 Club. Lynda’s contact details are shown above.

Reverend Samuel A. Long (Sam), PTO

Sam has permission to officiate in the Diocese and assists with services in the benefice.  In addition to helping with Sunday services,  Sam conducts pastoral visits and takes occasional offices.   Before his retirement, Sam was Rector of Badwell and Walsham.  Sam can be contacted at samlong167@aol.com.

Nicola Grieves

Nicola leads All Together-All Age Services and occasionally assists with other services across the benefice, works in Barrow primary school with children leading Collective Worship, and is head of the team offering Praise and Play.  She is also Safeguarding Officer for the benefice and works full time as the Children and Youth Development Officer for the United Reformed Church Eastern Synod.  Before taking up her present post, Nicola was in full time children and family ministry at All Saints Church, Milton.

Annie Throssell

Annie is a member of the Benefice Ministry Team and serves the Benefice in numerous ways.  She leads All Together-All Age Services.  She has been part of the Open the Book team at Barrow CEVC Primary School for ten years, serves as a Foundation Governor at Barrow Primary School, leads a fortnightly Bible Study Group and is PCC Secretary in Risby.  She has recently been commissioned Benefice Lay Elder.
