I have been sent this link by Sheila, a member of Risby congregation.
https://www.saga.co.uk/magazine/gardens/how-to-make-your-garden-ahaven-for-hedgehogs
It is an interview with Fay Vass, chief executive of the British Hedgehog Preservation Society (BHPS).
Sheila is also a member of BHPS and Hedgehog Street – the only national conservation project that focuses on making gardens hedgehog-friendly. We featured hedgehogs last July 2023. But it’s good to remind ourselves of the difficulties hedgehogs face. We can support them by avoiding pesticides & slug pellets, provide a water source and of course check areas thoroughly for hedgehogs before you start mowing
or strimming. Next week, we are all things butterflies, as we are gearing up for the Big Butterfly Count which starts 12th July.
