World Nature Conservation Day July 28 2023
The theme for World Nature Conservation Day 2023 is “Forests and Livelihoods: Sustaining People and Planet”.
The purpose of the day is to raise awareness about the need to protect our natural resources: including soil, water, air, energy sources, and plant and animal life. There are several problems that nature is currently dealing with, including deforestation, urbanization, the extinction of flora and animals, and global warming. One of the main aims of World Nature Conservation Day is to save species of plants and animals that are in danger of going extinct and to emphasize the need for protecting the environ-ment for coming generations. It is our responsibility to leave a healthy planet for future generations to enjoy.
